Photo Restoration Services

Photographs contain our memories and our legacy. They connect us to our family and friends. Even if they are cracked, yellowed, or damaged, we keep them. No matter how faded or tattered a photograph is, it helps us to remember and learn about the past. Our Photo Restoration Services will help you fight the ravages of time and, more importantly, share the memories with your family and friends, and preserve them for your descendents.

Our Photo Restoration Services correct problems in a print and restore damaged prints. We work on color and black-and-white negatives, slides, and prints. Whenever possible, an original negative or slide is preferred. Restoration services include restoration of faded pictures for which there is no negative, and repairing torn or physically damaged pictures. Problem corrections include clearing up skin blemishes and wrinkles; and the removal of eyeglass glare, stray hairs, and braces.

You can submit 35mm or APS film, slides, or prints for scanning. Larger film sizes may need to be sent out for scanning at a slightly higher cost. When the photo restoration service is complete, you will receive a digital photo sheet with your choice of prints on a single sheet of 8-1/2 x 11 photo paper. We can also send the digital file out for the making of a new negative and a choice of photographic prints. Please note that print images cannot be enlarged from their original size without some degree of degradation.

If moderate to extensive work is required on an order, we recommend that it be "archived" or saved. Archived files can be retrieved should additional work be required. If the image is not archived, the entire job will need to be redone, at the customer's expense.

Before sending film or prints to us, it is a good practice to have a copy negative of each image made first. Many local photo processors offer this service. It is also a good idea to send the originals, or high quality copy negatives, to us using a certified carrier that requires a signature for delivery. Be sure to insure the package contents. If you would like us to send you a confirmation of receipt by email, then please include a note with your original images and be sure to include your email address.
